Some moves are planned and welcomed. But some may be out of sheer necessity or enforced circumstances like Covid-19. Therefore the loss and grief emotions may vary. For positive moves such as overseas education, a new job, recent marriage or the wish to be closer......

There can be times in life when we might not be aware of troubled emotions and heart wounded-ness buried from childhood, growing teenage years and into adulthood. We have somehow found ways to cope with it and seem to move along in life. Until we......

The whole world was spun into uncertainties due to the pandemic. No nation, continent nor tiny island was spared. Neither Singapore. Unending adjustments to be made, even changes on a daily basis, by government, business and healthcare leaders in view of top priority of safety......

How has COVID19 affected you and those around you? Has it changed your family, work and social life, including sports and recreation? “Grief is the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior.” That’s the definition of grief, from......

FY was a young lady who lost her husband to sudden illness. It spiraled her to binge eating and excessive weight gain. What followed was end of relationships with her in-laws caused by hurtful events and words. During processing grief through the GRM Group Program,......

The same young widowed mom [YY, GRM Sep 2018] featured in May 2019 blog, has been using correct information to lead her to correct choices towards her own recovery and that of her 4 children, age ranging from 7 to 16. I spent a day......

I am very pleased indeed and so proud of one of our participants, a young widow with 4 children in tow [the youngest turned seven in 2018.] She has courageously used her learning from the Grief Recovery Method [GRM] to help her girls grieve the......

The same lady [GHL,Oct 2018] encountered new meaning as she went beyond loss and grief to recovery. Following the earlier Whatsapp message, these were her reflections: “The hiking, shopping and sightseeing aside, it’s been big steps in intangibles too. Of letting go, of trust, of......

Happy to be part of the Narratives for Change Festival today at Common Ground!

We had a fully subscribed closed-door session where 20+ school leaders and educators came together for a citizen conversation on:

> How do we change the narrative around Resilience in schools?
> If Resilience is the desired outcome, how do we get there?
> What’s the process?

It was facilitated by our co-founder Gracie Mak, who shared Whispering Hope’s 4R Roadmap to Resilience.

Thanks to all who came and spent their Saturday morning with us! 🤩

Grief is a heavy burden.
It’s time to put it down.

Put it all down

Every single thing you have picked up and carried with you that isn’t you, or is hurting you

Put it down

Some things you were given or didn’t have a choice in carrying, those childhood experiences come to mind and I’m sorry, I feel you, I felt them, I lived them too

BUT

The putting down of it all

Is YOUR choice to make

Put it down and let yourself be free to enjoy life in every moment

And then moment by moment

Put it all down

Stop the heavy lifting of the heart

And experience the lightness it holds
